I need some recommendations on what to do to loose weight in my butt. I want to slim it down, can anyone recommend some excersizes for me to do.
There are a couple of exercises that target that area; however, you can not spot reduce. Meaning if you do 100 crunches a day and expect six pack abs this will not happen. The reason for this is: a muscle does not own the fat that surrounds it. Sit-ups, for example, will definitely strengthen your abdominal muscles but sit-ups alone will not get rid of the layer of fat that is covering the muscles. To lose fat anywhere on your body you need to burn calories by following a program that involves both cardiovascular training and weight training. In doing so, you will decrease fat stores throughout your entire body, including the problem areas.
With that said, here are some exercises that can be done on the Total Gym that target the lower body and that backside:
Lunge series, squats, single leg squats, side lying squats…check out the video by Tom Camapanaro titled: Hip & Glute Workout – Lunge Sequence.
I hope that helps! Enjoy.
I bought a second hand machine, received a video with it, but would really like to know if there
is a Total Gym Gym in Austin,Texas. If there is, please inform me, I would love to go and personally
do the work out with someone next to me, I learn faster that way.
