Did you know that February is Heart Health Month?
Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the U.S. with an estimated 600,000 people dying each year, or 1 in 4 people. Heart disease affects both men and women, but more than half of the deaths in 2009 were men. The greatest risk factors for heart disease include high blood pressure, diabetes, being overweight or obese, poor diet, physical inactivity and excessive drinking.
Here at Total Gym, we recognize the importance of exercising in order to keep not only our hearts healthy, but our minds and bodies too. Our employees take full advantage of daily exercise programs we’ve established right in our own office. Of course we work out often on our Total Gym incline body weight trainers doing full-body, muscle-targeted training days, muscular strength and endurance programs , Hight Intensity Interval Training and Pilates.
But we LOVE diversity and understand the benefits of switching things up, so we also incorporate many other workouts like willPower & grace, Tabata training, Bodyblade, BOSOU ball and kettlebell exercises and even basketball.
